FLYING HIGH
Kites are usually flimsy things. I remember one that I had as a little girl. One that I saved up 4 weeks allowance for and it only cost, $2.29. I had to be very careful with it. It would rip easily. When there was a nice breezy day I would take it outside on a long string. The wind catches the kite and I unroll the string and the kite goes higher and higher. Eventually when it is way up, I don't have to worry about it falling. The kite flew only because it was light and made to be moved by the wind. Like kites are made to be held high in the air and show the strength of the wind, we are designed to show God's strength through us. The Bible tells us that God's strength is made perfect in weakness. This means our weakness provides the opportunity for God to show his power. Sometimes we don't see the power because we are too busy trying to do everything ourselves. The kite can only fly when the wind is blowing, but there is never a time when God is not able to give you his strength so you can be Flying High.
